My name is Jessica, Im 28 yrs old with 2 children, and I have a boyfriend with 5 children which lives with me. I worked 2 full time jobs everyday except for sundays, so I could make my bills and provide for my children. (I didnt get with my boyfriend until Nov. 09, but I have known him for 20 yrs). In September of "09" I was hit by a man in my neighborhood who is on heroin and alcohol really bad. I was standing in front of my home and he had hit me with a full size van and had dragged me 35ft down my road. The man was on drugs and just shot up heroin before he hit me. I ended up having alot of broken bones. I had a broken strnum, 6 broken ribs, both feet were broken, broken back, broken pelvis,my pancreas had contusions, bleeding on my brain, I had bit my tongue almost in half and my right kidney was dead until the hospital found a extra artery. I ended up with mersa and a bunch of road rash. After all this I was unable to work and pay bills and provide for my children. I was able to recieve welfare, food stamps and medical at that time. In January 2010 my doctors thought I would be able to work again. So I started back at my 1 job and worked, I was cut off through welfare. While I worked my back, ribs and the rest of my body put me in alot of pain. So I went back to the doctors and they had taken me back off work. So now I am unable to work and welfare wont let me recieve benefits again. So I have no income coming in. My bills are racking up, and I have disconnection notices and threats of eviction. I dont know what to do ?? my boyfriend just got custody of his 5 kids from the mother which was unable to take care of there kids, due to her on drugs, child abuse, her not having children in school, etc... he cant get any welfare due to the courts not sending custody papers to him.He would work but we dont have a baby sitter for the younger children. I would watch them but due to my accident I am unable to bend, lift, twist, get up and down on my own, I cant stand for to long or sit for to long, etc... I am trying to find any kind of help that I can get. From furniture for the children, clothes for the children, to food, to help with paying my bills, anything! I have always worked and never had a bad situation happen to me like this. I feel like no matter where I turn its a dead end. My nerves have gotten so bad from this, I worry everyday if my electric, vectron, water will be shut off with 7 children in my home, if we will be evicted and have no where to go,how will I feed 7 children and 2 adults each day, trying to find clothes to put on the kids, and so on.
